Amber Utter, MA, PLPC

Amber provides a comforting and confidential environment for people of all ages to find inner peace and healing through the counseling experience. She has a heart for children (including littles, 3-5 years), teens and individuals. Amber is primarily client centered with a holistic approach, utilizing CBT, mindfulness, play therapy, spiritual/strength based therapy and is trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She is engaging and brings positive energy and encouragement to her clients.

Amber’s work includes helping clients with transitions, bereavement/grief, divorce, crisis intervention, emotion management skills, anxiety and depression, personality disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, physical/sexual abuse, stress management, self-esteem and women’s issues.

Amber received her bachelor of arts degree in sociology in 2002 from Emporia State University. She completed her master of arts degree in counseling at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015 and is currently completing her 2 year post graduate supervision. Amber also holds memberships in the American Association for Christian Counselors and Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association.

Amber’s fees are $100 for the initial session and $75 thereafter.She is not on insurance panels. She also provides paperwork for clients utilizing their flexible spending accounts. She is supervised by Judy Gardner, MS, LPC, NCC.

Schedule:

Amber sees clients  in Lee’s Summit, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
